Add voice commands to your Xbox and TV for just $19

One thing I love about the Xbox One and the Xbox Series X is the fact you can control them using voice commands. At least, if you have a connected Amazon Echo speaker that is. For Xbox users, the Amazon Echo is one of the best Xbox One accessories you can buy, and as part of Amazon Prime Day, they start at a rather insane $19.

When you set up an Amazon Echo speaker, they will automatically detect your Xbox as long as you have the “Enable Digital Assistants” setting turned on via the Xbox console’s settings.

From the Alexa app on your phone, after setting up, searching for the “Xbox” skill will enable you to link up an Xbox console connected to the same Microsoft Account you’ll use to sign in with the app. Once it’s all set up, you can ask Alexa to do an array of things, such as launching games, controlling the volume on your TV, shutting down, turning on, and so on. The full list of Alexa-relevant Xbox commands can be found here.

The Amazon Echo speakers start at $19 for Prime Day, and they’re worth every penny.
