Acer just announced several refreshed gaming laptops at CES 2022. New versions of the Predator Triton 500 SE, Predator Helios 300, and Acer Nitro 5 will all be available over the coming months. All of the laptops have options with 12th Gen Intel Core CPUs inside. The Nitro 5 also has models with AMD’s newly announced Ryzen 6000 series chips. Those CPUs are paired with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 30 series laptop graphics.

The Predator Triton 500 SE starts at $2,300 and will be available in North America in March. The Predator Helios 300 launches in North America in May 2022 with a starting price of $1,650. The Nitro 5 with Intel (from $1,050) starts shipping in March, while the Nitro 5 with AMD (from $1,100) launches in April. The new laptops from Acer will also be available in China and in the EMEA region, though launch dates vary per device.

The Predator Triton 500 SE is designed to fit in well at work or while gaming. Despite its powerful internals that can run the best PC games, it has a body that would look natural in an office. The Predator Helios 300 is along the same lines, as it features powerful internals aimed at gaming and a body that looks professional.

Acer’s Nitro 5 has a more modest starting price, especially considering its specs. Having a choice between AMD and Intel CPUs allows PC gamers to stick with their brand of choice. While the Nitro 5’s design is more reserved than those of some gaming laptops, you may have to turn off its RGB lighting at your desk.

As an added bonus, all of the new Acer gaming laptops come with a month of Xbox Game Pass.
