Acer announced three new Predator gaming monitors at CES 2020. Acer designed all three monitors to provide an immersive gaming experience thanks to the monitors’ size and specs. The Predator X32 ($3,599) will be available in Q2 2020. The Predator X38 ($2,399) ships in April. Gamers will have to wait a bit longer for the Predator CG552K ($2,999), which will be available in Q3 2020.
The 32-inch Predator X32 has a UHD resolution of 3840×2160 that delivers 1440 nits of brightness. It has impressive color specs, including Delta E <1, 99 percent Adobe RGB and 89.5 percent Rec2020 color gamut. Its display is VESA DisplayHDR 1400 certified and has a refresh rate of 144Hz. The Predator X32’s IPS panel has a viewing angle of 178 degrees. It has three HDMI 2.0 ports, a DisplayPort 1.4, and four USB 3.0 ports for connectivity. To deliver smooth gameplay, the monitor supports NVIDIA G-Sync ULTIMATE.
The Predator X38 features a 37.5-inch curved UWQHD+ (3840×1600) display with a curvature of 2300R. It’s VESA DisplayHDR 400 certified and an impressive set of color specs. The monitor has Delta E <1 color accuracy and 98 percent DCI-P3 color gamut. The display has a refresh rate of 175Hz (overclock) and a response time of just 1ms. In terms of connectivity, it has an HDMI 2.0 and DisplayPort1.4 in addition to four USB 3.0 ports. The monitor also features two 7W speakers.
