A smart One UI 4.1 feature isn’t available on all Galaxy devices

Samsung debuted One UI 4.1 with the Galaxy S22 series. A few weeks after the launch of its newest high-end phones, the South Korean firm started rolling out the One UI 4.1 update to older high-end and mid-range smartphones. However, not all One UI 4.1 features have made it to all Galaxy devices.

One of the important One UI 4.1 features include Smart Widgets. It allows you to group similarly sized widgets so that they don’t use up as much space on your phone’s home screen. The feature was released to the Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+, Galaxy S21 Ultra, and the Galaxy S21 FE. However, the Galaxy Z Flip 3, Galaxy Z Fold 3, and the Galaxy A52 5G didn’t get Smart Widgets with the One UI 4.1 update.

It’s unclear why Samsung hasn’t released Smart Widgets to its foldable and Galaxy A series smartphone. We don’t think that the feature requires a phone to be extremely powerful, and even if that’s true, it’s missing from Galaxy Z series phones, which have high-end processing chipsets.

Whether or not Samsung releases the Smart Widgets feature to foldable and mid-range phones remains to be seen. The company needs to clear the air around this so that Galaxy fans can understand why Samsung hasn’t released Smart Widgets to every Galaxy phone.
