A new launch trailer for Cyberpunk 2077 talks about “V” and death

Cyberpunk 2077 is just around the corner, and that means a brand-new official launch trailer right before release. CD Projekt RED’s latest project, and the first major game since the Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, takes players to the dark, twisted world inside of Night City as V, the main protagonist that can be whoever and whatever you want them to be. In our Cyberpunk 2077 review, we called Cyberpunk 2077 a “masterpiece,” but one that’s still in need of more polish.

The new launch trailer is a more personal one than recent gameplay trailers, focusing on the likelihood of death in the violent Night City, the importance of relationships with Cyberpunk 2077’s many characters, and much more. It’s a solid trailer, and could very well be the last trailer we get for Cyberpunk 2077 (after nearly eight years of waiting) before the game finally releases to the masses.
