Ori and the Will of the Wisps goes up for pre-load on Xbox Game Pass

This morning, many gamers woke up to a pleasant surprise. Ori and the Will of the Wisps, the sequel to Ori and the Blind Forest, is available for digital preorder on the Microsoft Store. The game costs just $30 and is launching on March 11, 2020.

Embark on an all-new adventure in a vast and exotic world where you’ll encounter towering enemies and challenging puzzles on your quest to unravel Ori’s true destiny.

If you’re an Xbox Game Pass owner, you’ll be excited to know that the title is available for pre-load already. While the download is just a 100 MB placeholder, it should automatically update to the full game sometime in March 2020. It’s included in your subscription so you won’t have to pay the $30. The title also supports Xbox Play Anywhere so you can transfer saves to your Windows 10 PC and vice versa, and runs at 4K resolution and 60 frames per second (FPS) on Xbox One X.

If you’re the ultimate Ori fan, you’ll also be happy to know that there’s going to be an Ori and the Will of the Wisps: Collector’s Edition launching in March. It isn’t available for preorder yet, but we’ll keep you posted as soon as it goes up. While the small delay from February to March 2020 is disappointing, as long as the game is a polished experience, it’s well worth it.
