Hublot launches Big Bang e Premier League smartwatch – and it’s purple

Hublot has relaunched its Big Bang e smartwatch with an official Premier League edition.

The company has released limited-edition versions of its luxury Wear OS smartwatch range for most major tournaments, so it’s little surprise it’s signed up the Premier League.

Under the hood the tech is the same as the standard Hublot Big Bang e that launched back in June 2020. However, only 200 Premier League edition smartwatches will be manufactured and will cost £4,300.

There’s a Snapdragon Wear 3100 processor (last gen now but still plenty of power), 1GB of RAM and 8GB of storage. It runs Google’s Wear OS, and has a single day of battery life. It boasts an impressive 390 x 390 AMOLED display with a punchy 327ppi.

Of course, Hublot has added a huge dose of quality into the mix – and the 42mm case is made of titanium with a chunky fabric strap.

As this is a Premier League special edition, the watch strap is purple – and the exclusive watch face also matches. It’s a pretty bold design statement.

The smartwatch also comes with the Hublot Loves Football Premier League app, which shows all live scores and upcoming fixtures for matches. The app will also alert you to goals, penalties, substitutions, yellow and red cards, and time added on – which does seem like a lot of information. Wrists will be especially busy between 3pm and 5pm GMT on a Saturday.

You can also put the watch into Match Mode which dedicates the screen to a particular game, if you want to follow your team while on-the-go.

Hublot is also equipping Premier League referees with lightweight versions of the watch which won’t be made commercially available.
