​Amazon just leaked everything about the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4

The Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 has been subject to a relentless stream of leaks, but now Amazon Canada has just blown the lid off the last of the mysteries

We now know everything about the design, features and pricing of Samsung’s Wear OS smartwatch, and the latest in its premium smartwatch line.

As expected there will be two versions: the standard Galaxy Watch 4 and a Galaxy Watch 4 Classic.

The standard Galaxy Watch 4 will land in 40mm and 44mm sizes, and ape the design language of the older Galaxy Watch Active 2 with an aluminium case.

It will have a compact, lightweight and sporty design, the larger 44mm device will have 1.39-inch AMOLED display and 361mAh battery.

Galaxy Watch Classic 46mm

While we knew most of that already, the features list does come as a bit of a surprise. The standard Galaxy Watch 4 will boast body composition analysis, advanced sleep tracking, VO2 Max, blood oxygen tracking and a heart rate monitor.

Then comes the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic. That will land in 42mm and 46mm versions with a stainless steel case. Again, there’s body composition analysis, advanced sleep tracking, VO2 Max, blood oxygen tracking and a heart rate monitor. And the Classic will retain the iconic rotating bezel.

And we also got some extra details around pricing and availability.

A release date on Amazon is set for 27 August. We also have Canadian pricing, which directly changed to USD reveals a much lower price tag than we were expecting:

• Galaxy Watch 4 40mm: $309 CAD ($246)
• Galaxy Watch 4 44mm: $346 CAD ($276)
• Galaxy Watch 4 Classic: 42mm $427 CAD ($341)
• Galaxy Watch 4 Classic: 46mm $463 CAD ($370)

We already know that the Galaxy Watch 4 will run on a new version of Google’s Wear OS 3.0, which the company says is unified with Tizen technology.

The watches will be skinned with One UI, so will retain the Samsung look and feel, but be able to take advantage of the Wear OS app store.

Google will be hoping that Samsung’s arrival will boost uptake of Wear OS and, just as importantly, developer interest in the platform.
