Honor has finally unveiled its Honor Watch GS 3 smartwatch, which it teased back in August 2021.

The company had released teaser pictures, which we’d previously reported, showing a svelte and attractive looking smartwatch – but we now have full details.

The Honor Watch GS 3 will boast a 1.43-inch, 326-ppi AMOLED display – which these days is rather mid-range stuff.

There will be 100 sport modes built in, aided and abetted by a heart rate, with GPS built in, and an SpO2 sensor too.

GPS has been given a big accuracy boost, and Honor says its 167% more accurate than the previous MagicWatch 2.

The heart rate monitor is an 8-channel PPG sensor, so Honor is gunning for improved accuracy here.

And it will last 14 days between charges, powered by a 415mAh battery.

There seem to be three finishes, with a black and silicon band option which is more suited to working out, with gold and silver options that come with a leather strap.

It runs LiteOS, so the look and feel of the OS feels familiar – that’s the same operating system as Huawei used for the GT 2 range, before moving to Harmony OS (which is largely similar).

It looks a great mix of style and sport features, and we’re looking forward to finding out of the Watch GS 3 looks as good in real life.

The Honor Watch GS 3 is only heading to China for now, and is set to cost CNY 1,300 ($205), while the two versions with a leather strap are CNY 1,500 ($235).

There’s a high chance this will land in the West, as the Honor Watch GS Pro did before it – so watch this space.
