Here’s what PUBG will need to do to pull players back from Fortnite

PUBG broke several Steam records and took the PC community by storm last year. However, Epic Games’ answer to it, Fortnite, has now found its way into the spotlight.

When discussing 2017’s biggest gaming hits, it’s impossible not to mention Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG), a battle royale shooter that seemingly came out of nowhere. The game was a critical success, becoming one of Steam’s all time best-sellers, even managing to have over three million players online at one time. It dominated both Twitch and Mixer for quite a long time, too, and was even nominated for Game of the Year in the 2017 Game Awards.

However, as time has passed, the game’s popularity has begun to fall off. Its player base is by all definitions healthy, but ever since the release of Fortnite Battle Royale, a free-to-play battle royale game from Epic Games, many of PUBG’s fans have flocked to the new title. Here’s how PUBG can win them back.

Surface Book 2 15-inch vs. Razer Blade 14 (2017): Battle of the Windows laptop titans

The Surface Book 2 and Razer Blade 14 (2017) have similar specs on the surface, but which should you buy?

Last year, I wrote about switching from a Surface Book to a Razer Blade 14, citing the Blade’s superior CPU and GPU as the reasons why. Now that the Surface Book 2 is here, I couldn’t resist the urge to switch back.

I really enjoy the Razer Blade 14. It’s a beastly device, without sacrificing style and size. Not only can it run games like a dream, it powers through all other tasks with ease, including video editing, heavy duty Photoshop, and even Mixed Reality and VR. Considering the internal spec difference between the Blade and the Surface Book 2 are negligible, why did I feel the need to drop over a thousand extra euros to switch back to Surface?

The reasons are numerous and potentially nuanced, but it boils down to one thing: the Surface Book 2 is the perfect device for me. And my experiences might help you decide which device is best for you.

Progressive Web Apps (PWA): What they are, and what they mean for Microsoft

In my latest video, I break down what are PWAs, why Microsoft is embracing Google’s technology, and what it means for the Microsoft Store and Windows 10.

Over the last year, the discussion around Progressive Web Apps (PWAs) has grown in the tech media as more browsers began to adopt support.

But what exactly is a PWA and how does it differ from old web-wrapper apps? Are they another reach-for-the-stars attempt by Microsoft, or a legit alternative to native apps on mobile and PC?

Microsoft recently detailed its plans in depth for Windows 10 Redstone 4 for PWAs, the Edge browser, and the Microsoft Store. I also wrote a primer on who is really behind PWAs and why.

But in today’s video, I want to answer some specific questions about PWAs, Microrosft, and what it means for Windows 10.

It uses a sticky gel pad to adhere to most surfaces, while still being easily removable. It won’t work well with leather or vinyl dashboards though. It can rotate 360 degrees and has a telescopic arm which can adjust out two inches for closer viewing.

This car mount is suitable for devices up to 3.2 inches in width. Over 14,400 reviewers on Amazon left this product with a collective 4.1 out of 5 stars.

Other iOttie One Touch car mounts are on sale, including the CD player model for $12.57, and the iOttie One Touch 3 for $16….
